Congress withdraws support to Mamta led govt. in WB

Congress has withdrawn support to Trinamool Congress Chief Mamta Bannerjee led government in West Bengal. The party leaders met Governor M.K. Narayanan in Kolkata on Saturday evening and handed over the letter withdrawing support to the state Government. Earlier, the six Congress Ministers tendered their resignation to the Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.

The Congress Ministers decided to pull out from the state cabinet after Trinamool Congress withdrew support from the Centre.

AIR Kolkata Correspondent Arijit Chakraborty reports that earlier in the day, the Pradesh Congress Committee met in Kolkata to ratify the AICC directive in this regard. The Mamata Banerjee led Government has no threat after withdrawal of support of Congress as it has the majority.
