In Haryana, Congress has won Ratia while Adampur assembly seat has gone to Haryana Janhit Congress-BJP alliance. Congress candidate Jarnail Singh who got 65071 votes, defeated his nearest rival Sarfi Devi of Indian National Lok Dal by a margin of 12,703 votes. The seat was vacated after the death of INLD MLA, Gian Chand Odh, husband of Sarfi Devi, who won the seat in 2009. Former Chief Minister Bhajan Lal's family retained the Adampur Assembly seat. Haryana Janhit Congress-BJP alliance candidate Renuka Bishnoi who is the wife of Hisar MP Kuldeep Bishnoi, won the seat defeating his nearest rival Kulbir Beniwal of congress by margin of 22669 votes.After this bypoll result, the strength of Indian National Lokdal in the Vidhan Sabha has been reduced to 30 while the Congress strength has risen to 41.
