Congress today welcomed Supreme Court verdict on Triple Talaq. Party spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala said, the verdict is an affirmation of the rights of women and gives relief to them against being subjected to discrimination by a practice that have been perverted over the years. <br/><br/>Mr Surjewala said, the apex court itself by a majority of 3:2 upheld the fact that personal law of communities are protected under the Article 25 of the Constitution. <br/><br/>He said, Supreme Court verdict is a culmination and acceptance of wider wisdom as also recognition of the rights of the Muslim women. <br/><br/>
