Congress has urged the West Bengal government to improve the law and order situation in the state. Party spokesperson Shakeel Ahmad in New Delhi on Monday said that the ruling Communist Party of India (Marxist) should disarm its party cadres who are creating law and order problem in the region. Backing the Home Minister P Chidambaram stand on the state Mr. Ahmad added that only security forces should possess arms in a civilian society.
