Senior BJP leader and Member of Parliament Shanta Kumar allegedly blamed Congress for washout of this session of Lok Sabha. Terming the opposition as a frustrated party, he said Congress has made a mockery of democracy by creating commotion in the house despite Speaker Sumitra Mahajan's appeal not to do so.<br/><br/>Speaking to media in Jalandhar today, he said it was very shameful that such uproar was happening in front of the school students who had come to watch the proceedings as visitors.<br/><br/>Appreciating External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj for giving a relevant reply in the Lok Sabha yesterday to the questions asked by Congress on Lalit Modi issue, Mr. Kumar said instead of listening to her, Congress continuously disturbed the proceedings at that time.<br/><br/>He lamented that the whole session which could have been utilised for discussing GST and Land Acquisition bills and issue regarding 11 crore people living under starvation in the country, has ended without any meaningful result. He said this is a serious issue and all parties should unitedly work for the development of the country.
