Congress has termed the Gujarat Model of Narendra Modi as a threat to democracy in the country. Addressing a press conference in New Delhi today, party spokesperson Anand Sharma alleged that Modi hardly participates in assembly proceedings and never replies to the questions put up by the opposition.

Sharma claimed that one third of starred questions asked by the opposition are struck down by the government before being tabled in the Assembly. He said live coverage is banned, photo-journalists are not allowed in the Assembly.
