Rahul Gandhi today said that Congress strongly supports GST legislation, but government should reach out to the Opposition and address key issues raised by his party.

Spelling out the Congress' stand on key bills during an interaction with girl students of prestigious Mount Carmel college in Bengaluru, Mr. Gandhi also charged the central government that it was much worse than a suit-boot-ki-sarkar with the economy in the doldrums. In his interaction with students, the Congress leader also touched upon the issue of rising intolerance saying that it disturbs him as an Indian.

He however faced some embarrassing moments in front of student audience. Congress Vice-President asked the students whether Prime Minister's 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan' and 'Make in India' were working, to which most replied in a resounding 'yes'. Mr. Gandhi later talking to reporters said the nature of the response of the students to his questions were not clear.
