Congress today stalled the proceedings in the Rajya Sabha on the issue of three of its MLAs in Gujarat joining BJP. The House witnessed repeated adjournments amidst noisy scenes before adjourning finally for the day. <br/><br/>When the House reassembled at 2:30 PM to take up private members' business, Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi accused some Congress members of defaming Gujarat. He demanded that the Congress should apologise for that. <br/><br/>Similarly, the Congress members again trooped into the well of the House raising slogans against the government. In turn, Treasury bench members also countered their slogans demanding apology. Deputy Chairman P.J. Kurien observed that both sides are not cooperating with the Chair for taking up private members' business. He adjourned the House for the day as the din continued.
