AICC General Secretary Rahul Gandhi asserted today that Congress is serious about forging an alliance with Trinamool Congress for the West Bengal assembly elections. He, however added that this will be done on honourable terms and Congress cannot bow its head. Mr Gandhi said the Congress is serious about forging analliance with the Trinamool Congress before the comingassembly elections to end the Left rule in the state. Addressing the Youth Congress workers in Jalpaiguri, he asked party workers to strengthen the party for an all-out fight against the CPI-M. He held out the assurance that the party would be made movement-oriented in the state and, among other issues, look into the problems faced by tribals in the area.
