Congress seeks explanation from its Saharanpur candidate for his life threatening remarks against Modi

An FIR has been filed against Congress candidate Imran Masood from Saharanpur constituency for violation of election model code of conduct and objectionable remarks made by him against BJP leader Narendra Modi.

Distancing itself from his controversial remarks, Congress has said it disapproves Masood's life threatening remarks against Modi. Congress party spokesman Randeep Surjewala Surjiwala said the party has sought Masood's explanation for his controversial comment.

Surjiwala also came down heavily on the the use of indecent language by Narendra Modi in his attacks on opposition parties. He said it only reveals Modi's weak personality.

BJP termed termed the remark of Masood as inflammatory and had sought strict action by the Election Commission.CPI leader Raja also said Masood's remark is a seriuos matter and Election Commission should take action.

Masood said, the clipping of his remarks were not recent one but 7 months old. He said , if Modi apologises for 2002 Gujarat riots, he is ready to apologize for his remarks.
