Congress says, UPA govt committed to pass Lok Pal, Lokayukta Bill in RS

The Congress today said that the UPA government is committed to pass the Lok Pal and Lokayukta Bill in the Rajya Sabha which was already approved by the Lok Sabha. Briefing reporters in New Delhi, party spokesman Manish Tiwary said, there are differences about certain clauses in the legislation. He said consultations with various political parties are underway to build a consensus on this issue.

On the political developments related to the BJP in Karnataka, Mr Tiwary said, the internal differences within the party have been obvious since its formed the government in the state. He said that the people of Karnataka will take cognizance of this in the forthcoming Assembly elections in the State.
