Congress says it is not obstructing passage of GST Bill in Parliament

Congress today said it is not obstructing passage of GST Bill in Parliament and its position on the Bill is clear. Briefing media in New Delhi, senior party leader Kapil Sibal said there is no substantial proposal from the government and Parliamentary Affairs Minister M Venkaiah Naidu's meeting with Congress President Sonia Gandhi on GST was mere optics. Saying that Mr Naidu did not give any assurance in the meeting, Mr Sibal said it seems that NDA government has no desire to compromise on the issues raised by the Congress. <br/><br/>On Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif holding a meeting with National Security Adviser and Army Chief, Mr Sibal said it is better to wait and watch as the neighboring country has let India down time and again.
