Congress today said that government must take the issue related to demand for a ban on the Bhagavad Gita in a Siberian court with the Russian Government.

Talking to reporters outside Parliament, party spokesperson Rashid Alvi said that the demand for the ban on the holy book is irrational.

He added that Russian authorities must have been misguided on the issue. BPJ leader Ravi Shanker Prasad termed the incidence as unfortunate. He added that every holy book must be respected.
