Congress says, consultation process on Telangana is over; UPA Govt to take final call on issue

Congress today said that the consultation process on Telangana is over and the CWC the highest decision making body of the party and the UPA government will take final decision on the issue.

The core group of the party discussed the issue at length in its meeting held at Prime Minister's residence in New Delhi this evening.

Talking to reporters after the meeting, party General Secretary in-charge of Andhra Pradesh, Digvijay Singh said the consultation process is over and now the party and UPA government have to take the final call.

The meeting chaired by Congress President Sonia Gandhi, was attended by senior leaders and Union Ministers.
