Information and Broadcasting Minister Venkaiah Naidu today accused the Congress of running away from debate on demonetization issue saying the demand for the Prime Minister's presence in the Rajya Sabha is only a fig leaf to disrupt the House.<br/><br/>He said, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will intervene whenever there is a need but disrupting the proceedings by making it an issue is not good. Talking to reporters outside Parliament, Mr. Naidu asserted that the government is ready for a discussion on the issue.<br/><br/>He accused the Congress of shedding crocodile tears for the inconvenience being faced by the people in queue for note transactions. Hitting out at Leader of Opposition in the Rajya Sabha, Ghulam Nabi Azad for his remarks on alleged death due to demonetization, the Minister wondered how can any responsible MP can make such comments. <br/><br/>Mr. Naidu asked Congress to clarify whether it is party's view or Mr. Azad's personal view.
