Congress has ruled out mid term polls. Party leaders and Union Ministers Jayanthi Natarajan and Rajeev Shukla said the UPA government is very much stable and the Lok Sabha elections will take place only in 2014. Natarajan said Congress has very good relationship with all its allies. The Congress president Sonia Gandhi has already said that they will continue to engage with all allies and that the government will last its full term.Shukla said Samajwadi Party's performance in Uttar Pradesh will not have any effect in terms of Lok Sabha polls.
