Congress rejects Anna’s allegations of govt being non serious in tackling corruption

Congress today rejected Anna Hazare's allegations of the government being non serious in tackling corruption. Talking to reporters in New Delhi today party spokesperson Jayanti Natrajan said that no government has done more than the current UPA regime who has taken unprecedented steps by launching independent enquiries against its allegedly corrupt ministers. Earlier in the day, party General Secretary Digvijay Singh had said that in a Parliamentary Democracy, it is the Parliament which frames the law and is accountable to the people. He also advised the civil society members not to doubt the intentions of the government in fighting the corruption evil.
