Congress today questioned the safety and security of Aadhaar details, alleging that data is getting leaked. <br/><br/>Replying to a media query in New Delhi, party spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala said, instead of defending the leakage, the government should take steps to protect the privacy of Aadhaar card holders.<br/><br/>Asked about the elevation of Rahul Gandhi, Mr Surjewala said decision to elevate Mr Gandhi as party president will be known to everyone when it is taken. He said organisational restructuring is a continuous process.<br/><br/>On alleged tampering of Electronic Voting Machines, he said, it is job of the Election Commission to ensure free and fair elections. He, however, admitted that EC is not hostile to any political party.
