Congress says it will not quit from the ministry in West Bengal despite Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee stating that it is free to leave the alliance.
West Bengal Pradesh Congress Committee President Pradip Bhattacharya said in Kolkata that the party will remain in the government as long as the people desired. He said the party is in the ministry not to satisfy anyone’s will.
Talking to reporters in New Delhi, party spokesman Abhishek Manu Singhvi said there is nothing abnormal in differences over certain issue between the two partners. He said that both Congress and Trinamool Congress should work together to sort out.
He said there should be no miscommunication between both the UPA allies.
Criticising BJP for inducting scam tainted UP Minister Babu Singh Kushwaha, Singhvi said that BJP has specialized in hypocrisy and double speak.
