Congress party has stake its claim to form a new government in Himachal Pradesh. State Party Affairs Incharge Chaudhary Birender Singh, Co-Incharge Aneesh Ahmed with local Congress leaders met Governor Smt.

Urmila Singh at Rajbhawan in Shimla this morning and gave her a letter on election of Mr. Virbhadra Singh as Congress Legislature Party Leader. They also handed over a list of 36 party MLAs elected in the State Assembly Election. Meanwhile, CLP Leader and State Congress President Shri Virbhadra Singh is leaving for Delhi to meet AICC President, Smt. Sonia Gandhi.

AIR correspondent reports that Mr. Bir Bhadra Singh is likely to take oath of office on 25th of this month.
