The Congress today said, it is open to have alliance with like-minded secular parties. Party spokesperson Abhishek Manu Singhvi said any pre or post poll alliance has to be within parameters of party ideology and non-communal secular forces. He was replying to a media query whether the party considers it an opportunity to reach out to TMC chief Mamata Banerjee after activist Anna Hazare did not attend her rally in New Delhi yesterday.
On confirmation of death sentence to convicts in the Delhi gangrape case by the Delhi High Court, the spokesperson said it shows that implementation of the law is swift, fair and time-bound.
