<br/>Following Tuesday’s naxal attack on the security forces in the Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh, while Jagdalpur and Dantewada witnessed a spontaneous bandh yesterday, the opposition Congress in the state has called for Chhattisgarh bandh today, as a mark of respect to the deceased jawans. <br/><br/>Addressing a press conference in capital Raipur yesterday, Congress leaders Mr. Dhanendra Sahoo and Mr. Rabindra Chobe alleged that despite central support, the state government has failed in fighting naxalism in the state. They also demanded imposition of President’s rule in the state. <br/><br/>Meanwhile, many of the shops and business establishments in the state have downed their shutters today though educational institutions and offices are functioning as usual. No untoward incident has so far been reported from any part of the state during the bandh.
