Congress MPs from Telangana region of Andhra Pradesh continue to put pressure on the party high command for creation of a new state. Eight party MPs today met the Lok Sabha speaker Mrs. Meira Kumar in New Delhi ,urging her to accept their resignations from the Lok sabha. Party M P G Viveklanada told AIR that the speaker informed them that she was aware of the matter.These MPs had an hour long meeting with the party general secretary Ghulam Nabi Azad yesterday to put across their point of view. The top brass of the Congress pary is discussing the issue. The core group of the party met in New Delhi yesterday to thrash out a solution of the vexed problem. The party has completed discussions with the Andhra leaders on the issue.
