Dr.Sharan Prakash Patil, the Congress MLA has moved Privilege Motion in Karnataka Legislative Assembly today against leak of House Committee Report on unruly scene that took place during the no confidence motion against Yeddyurappa government. The House Committee headed by BJP MLA Appacchu Ranjan was scheduled to file the report in the Assembly today. But before that, today’s newspapers carried stories on the outcome of the House Committee. The Speaker K G Boppaiah has accepted the motion and assured the Opposition that the leak of report to the media will be referred to the Privilege Committee. The Leader of the Opposition Siddaramaiah has termed the leak as deliberate attempt by the government to threaten the members of the Opposition. The Assembly had on October 11th witnessed uproar and pandemonium when Yeddyurappa sought majority of the House for the first time. Meanwhile, even today the dharna and walkout by the Opposition continued in both the Houses of Legislature. The House Committee Report was also later tabled in the House before it adjourned till afternoon.
