Congress, LJP (Ram Vilas), NPP announce their candidates for Nagaland Assembly Election

Congress, Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) and National People's Party (NPP) on Saturday announced their party candidates for the general election in Nagaland, scheduled to be held on February 27.  <br />'' <br />'' Congress released the names of 21 candidates. State Congress President, K Therie will contest from Dimapur-1 Assembly Constituency instead of 16- Pfutsero Assembly Constituency. Seyievilie Chucho will contest from Northern Angami -2 seat against the sitting Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, who won the seat uncontested in the last general election. Rosy Thomson, the only woman candidate fielded by the Congress will contest from 6-Tening Assembly Constituency.<br />'' <br />'' Lok Janshakti Party ( Ram Vilas) also declared 19 candidates for the ensuing election. Among those who were given tickets include former MLAs and aspirants who were denied tickets from Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP). These included Azheto Zhimomi, Levi Rengma, Dr. Chotisuh Sazo, Yitachu, Y M Yollow Konyak, Yitachu, Naiba Konyak, R. Tohanba amongst others.<br />'' <br />''Meanwhile, NPP also released the first list of 12 tickets.
