Congress-led Opposition stage walkout from LS in protest against situation in NE

Congress-led Opposition today staged a walkout from Lok Sabha protesting against the situation arising out in the North-East region due to Citizenship Amendment Bill. <br />''<br />''During Zero Hour, Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chawdhary raised the issue claiming violent incidents have been reported in many parts of the region. Mr Saugata Roy of TMC also echoed the same view and attacked the government over the issue. <br />''<br />''Responding to it, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi accused the Congress of inciting violence in the North-East. Later, protesting over the issue, members from Congress, DMK, Left, TMC and others staged a walkout from the house.<br />''<br />''In the Rajya Sabha, Congress member Ripun Bora tried to raise the issue when the house met this morning. But, Chairman M. Venkaiah Naidu did not allow. Protesting over it, he staged a walkout from the House.<br />
