Congress leaders from Telangana region have launched 48-hour fast on statehood issue in Hyderabad this morning. Eight ministers including Home Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy, 8 Parliament members, 14 MLAs ; 3 MLCs and several party functionaries are taking part in the fast which is being held under the aegis of Telangana steering committee.Meanwhile, several educational institutions in Telangana districts are also closed today in response to a bandh call.
