Former union minister Ram Niwas Mirdha, died yesterday. 87-year-old Mirdha was admitted in Sir Gangaram hospital in Delhi on 21st January after he was diagnosed with kidney infection. Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh has described senior Congress leader Ram Niwas Mirdha as an able and experienced political leader who made rich contributions in different areas of public life. In a codolence message, the Dr. Singh said Mirdha was one of the senior most leaders of the Congress Party and served both his home state of Rajasthan as well as the country with great distinction.Congress President Sonia Gandhi also condoled the death of veteran party leader Ram Niwas Mirdha.
