Former Union Minister and senior Congress leader Anand Sharma was elected unopposed to Rajya Sabha from Himachal Pradesh today. He was the lone candidate for Rajya Sabha seat, falling vacant on expiry of term of BJP member Bimla Kashyap. <br/><br/>The Returning officer and Secretary Vidhan Sabha S.S.Verma declared him elected after the last date for withdrawal was over today. This would be his fourth term in upper house of the parliament. <br/><br/>Later talking to media persons,Anand Sharma said that he was happy to return to the state and would raise all the issues concerning the state at the centre.
