In Jharkhand, Congress and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha have won one seat each of the Rajya Sabha for which the election was held today. Ex- MP and BJP candidate S S Ahluwalia has lost the Rajya Sabha election. Our correspondent reports that Congress candidate Pradeep Balmuchu has got 25 votes while Jharkhand Mukti Morcha candidate Sanjeev Kumar got 23 votes.

BJP candidate S S Ahluwalia got 20 votes. Today's election was held after the last polling of 30th March was cancelled amidst reports of horse trading. CBI is investigating the matter.
