Congress and Janata Dal (United) leaders today visited the Election Commission, EC and filed a complaint for the alleged violation of Model Code of Conduct, MCC, by the Prime Minister. In the memorandum submitted to the EC, the two parties said that Mr Narendra Modi violated the code of conduct by announcing that interviews for group D, C and B non-gazetted posts in central government will not held from next year. <br/><br/>Congress and JD(U) leaders alleged that the announcement was made during the Assembly Polls and is a violation of MCC. Yesterday, the Prime Minister, in Mann Ki Baat programme on All India Radio had announced that interviews will be done away with for group D, C and B non-gazetted posts in central government from next year.<br/><br/>Last month also, Congress and the JD(U) had pleaded with the Commission to prevent broadcast of Mann Ki Baat saying that it was a violation of MCC. The Commission had given a go-ahead to the programme subject to the condition that nothing should be announced which may amount to allurement to voters.
