Congress hits back on Opposition for not allowing Parliament to function

The Congress today hit back on opposition for not allowing Parliament to function for 18 working days on the demand for a JPC probe into the 2G spectrum scam. Talking to reporters in New Delhi, party spokesperson Jayanthi Natarajan strongly condemned the opposition attitude and said they are answerable to the people. She said there is no change in her party's stand on JPC demand as the Public Accounts Committee started looking into the CAG report on 2G Spectrum allocations. Replying to a question, Natarajan said all the allies of UPA are going along with the government's stand. The Congress spokesperson appealed to the opposition to allow the houses to run in remaining period of the session so that important issues could be discussed.
