Congress has said that Gujarat model touted by Narendra Modi is exaggerated and he should moderate his boastful claim. Addressing media in New Delhi, senior party leader and Union Finance Minister, P Chidambaram said, Gujarat stands at lower level in terms of development parametres. He said, Modi is Chief Minister of an average State.

Asked what evidence Congress has for its claim that BJP is spending ten thousand crore rupees on campaigning, he said, one can easily estimate from the arrangements made for election meetings and rallies.

Mr. Chidambaram also said, India and Switzerland are discussing ways to share information on specific accounts relating to black money. He said, he has received a reply on his letter from his Swiss counterpart and will send India's response in the next few days.
