Congress has filed a complaint in Election Commission against BJP MP Sakshi Maharaj for his alleged communal statement. The party claimed that Sakshi Maharaj's comments are not only in violation of Model Code of Conduct, but are also punishable by law. Congress has sought action against the BJP MP and asked Election Commission to ensure that no appeal for vote is made on religious grounds.
