Congress has expressed grave concern over the recent attacks on Indian students, including Nitin Garg, who was fatally stabbed in Melbourne, Australia. Describing the attack as racially motivated, party spokesperson, Ms Jayanti Natarajan said the Australian government should thoroughly investigate the incident and take concrete steps to ensure the safety and security of Indian students.<br/><br/>In reply to a question on Telengana, Ms Natarajan said that wider consultations are required to resolve the issue as the political parties from Andhra Pradesh are divided over the issue. She said that it is necessary to stop agitation and restore peace before the process of further consultation can begin. She also condemned the terrorist attack at Lal Chowk in Srinagar on Wednesday.
