The Congress has expressed concern over the ongoing agitation by farmers in Uttar Pradesh demanding higher compensation for the land acquired for construction of the Yamuna Expressway.Talking to reporters in New Delhi, party spokesman Manish Tiwari said, the issue is not confined to the UP farmers alone. It is also the concern of the farmers across the country. Tiwari made a strong appeal to the government to bring an appropriate law on land acquisition in Parliament soon.
