Congress has expelled former Union minister G K Vasan from the party. Mr Vasan quit Congress earlier today to form a new party. Talking to reporters in New Delhi, party spokesperson Ajoy Kumar said Mr Vasan has been expelled
for making inappropriate comments against the party. Mr Kumar said Congress has not received his resignation as yet.
