Congress-DMK talks continue on seat sharing in Tamil Nadu Assembly elections

The talks between DMK and Congress on seat sharing issue in the Tamil Nadu Assemby elections are continuing. DMK Ministers M.K. Alagiri and Dayanidhi Maran met Congress President Sonia Gandhi late last night to iron out the difference of opinion between the two parties on the issue.Earlier, DMK put on hold the resignation of its six ministers from the UPA Government. Deputy Chief Minister of Tamli Nadu M K Stalin told reporters in Chennai that Senior Congress leader Pranab Mukherjee telephoned DMK chief M Karunanidhi twice and urged him not to pull out his Ministers from the cabinet during the Budget Session and sought a day's time to resolve problems. Mr. Stalin hoped that a decision on the issue of seat sharing will be reached soon.
