Congress today distanced itself from party leader Veerappa Moily's stand on Electronic Voting Machines, EVMs. Mr Moily had backed the EVMs saying there is nothing wrong about it. <br/><br/>Replying to a media query in New Delhi, senior party leader Ghulam Nabi Azad said, views expressed by Mr Moily are personal and party has nothing to do with it.<br/><br/>On a query related to Kulbhushan Jadhav, an Indian citizen who has been awarded death penalty by Pakistan for alleged espionage, Mr Azad said, Pakistan judgement must not be trusted and India should take toughest stand on the issue. He said assurance have come from the government side that everything will be done to ensure safe release of Jadhav.<br/><br/>On the just concluded Budget session, Mr Azad said, opposition played constructive role. Another party leader Mallikarjun Kharge said, Congress cooperated with the government and ensured smooth functioning of the Budget session.
