Congress disrupting proceedings in Parliament to remain in news: Javadekar

The BJP has hit out at the Congress for the logjam in Parliament. Briefing media in New Delhi this evening, party leader Prakash Javadekar alleged Congress is disrupting proceedings in both the Houses to remain in news. He said, the government is ready to discuss any issue and has invited the opposition for a debate.

Mr Javadekar said, the government is acting responsibly but the Congress is running away from the discussion. He hoped that from Monday onwards, Parliament will function smoothly.

The BJP leader also criticised Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi for his remarks against the External Affairs Minister saying that Mr Gandhi has crossed all limits of decency. Mr Gandhi had said that Sushma Swraj has committed a criminal act in the Lalit Modi case.

On AIMIM party MP Asaduddin Owaisi's remarks about the death sentence of 1993 Mumbai blasts convict Yakub Memon, Mr Javadekar said, terrorism has no religion and death sentence of Memon should not be connected with religion.
