<span style="color: #222222;">Congress has demanded withdrawal of deduction of interest rates on savings. Talking to reporters in New Delhi, party spokesperson, Pawan Khera said, Congress will also raise this demand in Parliament. Government had yesterday reduced interest rate on small savings schemes, including NSC and PPF by 0.1 per cent for the July-September quarter.&nbsp;</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Mr Khera said, during the UPA regime in May 2014, the interest on savings of one to two years was 8.4 per cent, which has now reached 6.9 per cent. The rate of interest on National Savings Certificate was 8.5 per cent and now, it came down to 7.9 per cent.</span><br />
