Alleging the Karnataka government of being corrupt and a helpful hand to the mining mafia in the state, Congress has demanded the resignation of the chief minister B S Yeddiyurappa. <br/><br/>Party spokesperson Abhishek Manu Singhvi called for the CBI investigation or an inquiry by an independent commission against the corrupt ministers. He said that the chief minister is intentionally behaving in an incompetent manner which has lead to the complete failure of law and order machinery in the state. However he rejected to call for the president rule under article 356.<br/>
