Congress demands one third out of 294 assembly seats from TMC

The Congress has demanded one third out of 294 Assembly Seats from Trinamul Congress in coming poll in West Bengal. The Pradesh Congress President Dr. Manas Bhuiya said in Kolkata on Wednesday that the formula for seat adjustments with Trinamul Congress followed in last Lok Sabha Elections has to be maintained in the Assembly Elections also. Dr. Bhuiya said that according to the formula the State Congress will urge the party High Command to fight 98 seats. The Pradesh Congress President opined that the talks for seat adjustments with Trinamul Congress should be started at the earliest. Dr. Bhuiya said that the congress will fight unitedly with Trinamul Congress to oust ruling left front Government from power. Meanwhile, the State BJP has decided to fight in all 294 Assembly seats in the state on its own. The State BJP President Mr. Rahul Sinha said in Kolkata that efforts are on for seat sharing with some regional parties but if it does not materialize the party will contest the poll on its own.
