Congress demands investigations in bomb blast cases by NIA

Congress General Secretary Digvijay Singh on Tuesday presented the records establishing the fact that he had telephonic conversation with former Maharashtra ATS chief Hemant Karkare before his assasination. Talking to reporters in New Delhi he said that former Maharashtra ATS chief called him from the state ATS official landline number. He alleged the Madhya Pradesh police is covering up the activities of Hindu extremists. He also demanded that the investigations in the bomb blast cases may be handed over to National Investigation Agency.Meanwhile, BJP said that the statements by the senior Congress Leader Digvijay Singh defeat the campaign against terrorism being sponsored from across the border. Briefing reporters in New Delhi, party spokesman, Ravishankar Prasad said this also gives a handle to those who sponsor terrorism to destabilise India.
