A six member Congress delegation from Ladakh led by former Union Minister P. Namgyal called on the Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh in New Delhi today. <br/><br/>General Secretary and media in-charge of District Congress Committee Leh, Tsewang Rigzin said in a press release that through a 20 – point memorandum submitted to the Prime Minister, the delegation has impressed upon the centre to consider granting of Union Territory (UT) status with legislature for Ladakh.<br/><br/> The delegation also urged the centre to consider, among other demands, opening of border with China through Demchok, Ladakh to Kailash Mansarovar for trade, tourism and pilgrimage,<br/>
