Congress today strongly defended Kapil Sibal's remarks on Comptroller and Auditor General's report. Talking to reporters in New Delhi party spokesperson Jayanti Natrajan today said that CAG report is in public domain currently and members of parliament have all the right to express their opinion on it. She added that CAG should also clarify that how media got the access to the report before it was tabled in the house. Mrs. Natrajan also said that as a constitutional bodym, CAG cannot stop any Member of Parliament from expressing its opinion.In reply to another question, she said that Uttar Pradesh government should do justice with the girl who was allegedly raped by a Bahujan Samaj Party MLA. Mrs Natrajan urged the state government to hold speedy trial and punish the guilty strictly.
