Congress today came in defence of its leader Asha Kumari whom party has appointed as secretary in-charge of Punjab. Ms Kumari is at the centre of a controversy over her conviction in a land grab case.<br/><br/>Responding to a media query in New Delhi, party leader Kapil Sibal said there may be some land cases which are highly complicated and long drawn but this is neither a case of murder nor graft. <br/><br/>Asha Kumari has rejected demands for her resignation. Amid reports that her appointment as secretary in-charge of Punjab has left the Congress embarrassed, Ms Kumari accused BJP, AAP and Shiromani Akali Dal of unnecessarily making an issue out of a non-issue.
