The Congress today critisised BJP on the conviction of its former president Bangaru Laxman in a corruption scandal, saying it showed the double standards of the saffron party.
Congress Party spokesperson Manish Tewari said BJP should today introspect about their six years in government, and start living by the age old adage that those who live in glass houses do not throw stones at others,
BJP on the other hand sought to distance itself from the conviction of its former President Bangaru Laxman terming it an issue involving his personal conduct but accepted that he is still a member of the party's national executive.
BJP spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain said.that this case is about his personal conduct. The charges levelled against him were about the deed done by him as an individual.
