Congress criticizes govt's approach to bring back Mallya

Congress today criticized the government's approach to bring back controversial industrialist Vijay Mallya. The party said it is strange that the liquor baron was detained and released in the same go in London. <br/><br/>Talking to reporters in New Delhi, Congress spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala questioned why did the NDA government not move for Mallya's deportation instead of extradition. He said the deportation would have led to Mallya's immediate custody to India.<br/>'<br/>Mr. Surjewala also cornered BJP government for inordinate delay in making request for extradition of Mallya. He, however tried to take credit for the detention saying it happened because of relentless campaign by Congress.
