The Congress today criticized the BJP for sensationalising the issue of Aircel- Maxis deal. Briefing reporters in New Delhi, party spokesman Manish Tiwary said that BJP has no evidence in this connection and it is trying to only create sensation on this issue. He said, the Joint Parliamentary Committee, JPC is looking into the alleged 2G-Spectrum allocation case. If the opposition has any concrete proof of misdeed in this deal then it should place it before the JPC.
Earlier, expressing dissatisfaction over Home Minister P.Chidambaram's statement on the alleged Aircel- Maxis deal issue in the Lok Sabha today, the BJP has said that it wants a reply from Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee and not from Mr Chidambaram on this issue.
Briefing reporters in New Delhi, party spokesman Shahnawaz Hussain said that Mr Chidambaram's reply in the House was without any notice and hence, improper.
